CMWP Programs

CMWP Foundation, Inc. offers entrepreneurship and small business support programs serving Black and minority entrepreneurs throughout Connecticut. Most of our programming is delivered through grant-funded initiatives designed to remove barriers, strengthen business foundations, and connect entrepreneurs with the tools, guidance, and networks needed to grow sustainable businesses.

Through workshops, coaching, community partnerships, and family-centered initiatives, CMWP provides support that reflects the real experiences of business owners. Explore our programs below to learn how we are creating pathways for business growth, economic stability, and community impact.

Procurement Readiness

CMWP’s Procurement Readiness Program (PRP) equips small business owners with the tools, guidance, and confidence to compete for contracting opportunities with corporations, government agencies, and major institutions.

Through practical training, hands-on technical assistance, and connections to supplier diversity and procurement professionals, participants learn how to strengthen their business foundations, prepare compliant capability statements, pursue key certifications, and navigate procurement platforms and matchmaking opportunities.

The program is designed to reduce barriers, increase access to contracting pipelines, and position Black and minority-owned businesses to win sustainable contracts that drive long-term economic growth.
