Samantha Williams and Latisha Douglas, founders of CMWP Foundation, a minority business organization in Connecticut

About Us

Empowering entrepreneurs. Building economic opportunity.

CMWP Foundation, Inc. was founded to close opportunity gaps and create pathways for Black and minority entrepreneurs to build sustainable, thriving businesses. We believe entrepreneurship is more than business ownership. It is a vehicle for generational stability, community leadership, and long-term impact.

Our work centers on practical support and real access. From business coaching and workshops to capital readiness and strategic partnerships, we create spaces where entrepreneurs are equipped, connected, and supported at every stage of growth. We understand that building a business requires more than information. It requires community, confidence, and opportunity.

Founded by Latisha Douglas and Samantha Williams, CMWP was created to advance equity, expand access, and support economic mobility. What began as a vision to uplift underrepresented founders has become a movement focused on strengthening entrepreneurs and the communities they serve.
